Chinese Mitten Crab
Two simulations of a MRI Scan for an exhibition at the Zoological Museum in Kiel, Germany. The Chinese Mitten Crab carries a parasite which slowly degenerates their reproduction organs. The videos show the healthy organs and parasitic and were displayed next to the corresponding (real) exhibits.
Technical details:
The 3D models came out of a CT scan. Texturing, simulation and animation were done in C4D. Rendered with Redshift.
