Since 2018 I am a lecturer at the Muthesius University for Arts and Design in Kiel, Germany. I teach 3D Motion Graphics with Cinema 4D at the Information Design department. Every semester I offer two courses to select from: A beginner class where the students can go through the motion design process step by step and at the same time learn the basics of C4D and a more advanced class in which own projects are supervised or executed with my assistance.
Usually there are between 10 and 15 students in my basic course so I am able to dive deep into individual interests or approaches towards design. Also I really like to involve workshops, design sprints and video analysis to convey a deeper understanding of the whole motion design process.
Mentoring
Since 2021 I am frequently booked as a design mentor and consultant during hackathons, brand developments or start-up founding processes.
In the first step the process of design consulting and mentoring most importantly involves listening and learning on my side. I need to capture the whole picture of your own visual personality and the journey you want to go with your target group.
Next I like to use workshops, supervision sessions and evaluations so I can sketch out all the little details of your brand’s identity and visual voice. This will
ideally
result in a visual concept that will fit your demands but also will perfectly communicate with your clients in the end.
