The exhibited data originates from measurements taken along the 30th meridian west, which, for the most part, runs across open ocean waters. Short animations visualise parameters such as temperature, salinity or oxygen. Graphics are used to visualise data fluctuations and comparisons of individual points of measurement. A scale allows the chronological classification of each measurement.&nbsp;The multi award-winning group work hopes to draw attention to the efforts of scientists who have dedicated their work to gaining a better understanding of the sea in order to preserve the world’s oceans. Technical Details: As this was a group project I mainly worked on the data visualisation as well as the overall design concept. The projection was generated with VVVV and After Effects. It is a graduation work from the renowned VIA Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark. I was assigned to supervise the research and development (R’n’D) process on the abstract water scenes. These illustrate the different emotional states of the main character whilst being confronted with her past.&nbsp; The film was directed by Danny Laursen. The Chinese Mitten Crab carries a parasite which slowly degenerates their reproduction organs. The videos show the healthy organs and parasitic and were displayed next to the corresponding (real) exhibits. Technical details: The 3D models came out of a CT scan. Texturing, simulation and animation were done in C4D. Rendered with Redshift. The art centre is located in the 400m2 barn of Dovergaard, perhaps Denmark’s oldest farm.Throughout 2023 and 2024, eight solo exhibitions by Danish and international artists will be presented. The focus will be on sculpture and installations that engage with the striking space. Kunsthal Thy was founded by Rasmus Søndergaard Johannsen, who is also its artistic director.I was assigned to design a basic visual identity as well as the programme and posters for the first season. It was important for the artistic director that the logo and its variations reflect both the traditional value of the location as well as the contemporary art that will inhabit the historic building. Therefore, I created four logo variations, each unique yet recognisable and relatable. The iconic outline of the old building is clearly recognisable as rural architecture, quite often found in Thy. I used a typeface that resembles the incredible carpentry inside the barn. Taken out of context, the icon appears as an abstract shape that is open for interpretation. The season’s programme is a foldable poster that shows an abstract detail of the building on its back side. Every season will have a unique colour scheme as well as its own poster design.
